Summary Of  Mining, Power Generation & Transmission Experience

1. ✦Acting as Owner's representative to review electrical and instrumentation designs for numerous projects including Mt Milligan Mine, Endako Mines new mill, BHP Ekati, and others.
   

2. ✦Design and commissioning of diesel and gas turbine power plants for mines including Diavik,  Sukari, BHP Ekati, Porgera, Missima, Granny Smith, Big Bell, Osborne and smaller projects.
   

3. ✦Transmission line management for mining projects in Australia, PNG, and Chile including Kidston, Porgera, La Coipa, and Zeldivar mines.
   

4. ✦Pre-feasibility and feasibility studies for diesel, gas turbine and hydro power plants and wind generation for a wide range of mining projects in Canada and abroad. This work has been on a prime or sub-consultant basis.
   

5. ✦Management of design for the Pueblo Viejo coal fired power plant and transmission line in the Dominican Republic for Placer Dome, until that company was bought by Barrick and the project put on hold.
   

6. ✦Feasibility studies for transmission interconnection for a wide range of mining projects in Canada and abroad. The most recent work was for the Seabridge Gold KSM project interconnection with the British Columbia grid via the new NTL transmission line.
   

7. ✦Feasibility study management and/or electrical input to studies and detailed design for a number IPP hydro projects in British Columbia, South America and the Philippines including the original Forrest Kerr project, Miller Creek, Brown Lake, Mears Creek in B.C., Sabanilla, and Sibulan projects abroad and other smaller work. The majority of this work has been as a sub-consultant.
   

8. ✦Design management for the completion of the South Deep mine twin shafts and associated infrastructure project in South Africa.
   

9. ✦Power and process plant commissioning work, the most recent being assistant commissioning manager for new South Deep new gold plant and grinding mill drive pre-commissioning in the Philippines.
   

10. ✦Detailed electrical and instrument design and/or design management for mine process plants and pumping systems including Marcopper, Equity Silver, Kidston, Golden Sunlight, La Coipa, Pogera Phases 1 and 2, Misima and other smaller projects including plant expansions.
    

11. ✦Electrical and instrument design for flood control pumping systems, wastewater treatment systems, and industrial installations.
    

12. ✦Feasibility studies and design work has included numerous northern mining and power generation projects in the Yukon and NWT.
    

13. ✦Project reviews covering power generation and transmission and plant electrical design for owners and investment companies.
